Food for you?!
Why is it so hard to take care of yourself? Because as soon as you finish, actually taking time to prep healthy food, you’re torn away. Someone needs a change, a book read, a band-aid. And if it’s like my house? They are begging for bites of it until you realize you’ve given up your last bite of the fruit you didn’t get to eat. This bowl of strawberries in particular was one I promised myself NOT to share today. I had to pass up on reading Pete the Cat right that minute and give up my last bite of ‘Crescent Dog’ (hot dog rolled up in a crescent rolls and baked – you do what you need to to survive a quick lunch).
Although I’m pushing my luck; thinking I can write a blog WHILE enjoying this special strawberry treat. How does this fit into my series on postpartum efficiency? It probably doesn’t. Sometimes you have to allow yourself time to stop, say not right now, and enjoy the strawberries.
